Para esta expansión, Simon Phillips grabó una batería Ludwig Octa-Plus antigua de su colección personal en Phantom Recordings Studios en Los Ángeles. Utilizando las mismas técnicas y posición del micrófono que se utilizó en las grabaciones de la década de 1970, pudo capturar el sonido de la batería en discos que luego se volverían influyentes en géneros como el heavy metal. El increíble sonido de este kit está acompañado por 12 estilos de Simon Phillips Groove Agent para música funk y rock tocada con fuerza. Cada estilo incluye varias introducciones, rellenos y finales para crear pistas de batería completas con simplicidad y precisión.
