‘Qanun’ es un miembro de los instrumentos de cuerda y tiene forma trapezoidal, la forma sirve para ajustar la longitud de las cuerdas. Las cuerdas de qanun son tocadas por una púa en forma de anillo colocada en los dedos índices. En el lado izquierdo, hay clavijas también conocidas como ‘burgu’ que se usan para afinar el instrumento. El qanun turco consta de 24, 25 o 26 juegos de cuerdas de dos o tres cuerdas cada uno (generalmente dando un total de 75) y también cuenta con palancas metálicas especiales llamadas ‘mandal’ en el lado izquierdo.

‘Istanbul Qanun’ by Earthone contains a set of professionally played, incredibly rich, traditional and complex melodies that allow you to discover the world of Qanun! This is a ‘Qanun’ pack ONLY, other sounds contained within this Demo are for illustration purposes.
‘Qanun’ is a member of the stringed instruments and has the form of a trapezoid shape, the shape serves the purpose of adjusting the length of the strings. The strings of qanun are plucked by a ring-shaped plectrum placed on the index fingers. On the left side, there are pegs also known as ‘burgu’ which are used to tune the instrument. The Turkish qanun consists of 24, 25 or 26 sets of strings of two or three strings each (generally giving a total of 75) also features special metallic levers called ‘mandal’ on the left side.
